About TNIA

Following years of run-up, Taiwan Nursing Informatics Association was founded on June 18 2006 by a group of academic, medical, and industrial experts with enthusiasm to promote nursing information. The association aims to advocate the application of information technology in the healthcare industry, particularly in the field of nursing care. With sharply increased group size, the association detaches seed teaching staff of nursing information to medical institutions in each city and county in Taiwan. The association has proactively introduced the use of nursing information in clinic nursing care and academic research in recent years, while having consolidated related resources from academia, industry, and government, so as to promote Taiwan’s nursing information and its visibility beyond political barriers in the international communities.

• Major activities and events:
• International Nursing Informatics Symposium in Taiwan: inviting nursing experts to share their experiences in promoting the use of nursing information.

• Nursing information training camps: to hold technical training sessions to meet the needs of nursing information and use Office tools to solve clinic and information related issues, so as to provide nursing staff with IT capabilities.
• General member meetings and member communication sessions.
• Nursing practitioner training and certification activities.
